Because Lisa Schrott’s home in Shreveport’s South Highlands neighborhood is surrounded by lots of trees, she didn’t think solar energy was an option for her. But the Sci-Port Discovery Center’s Energy Awareness weekend showed her how she could save money on her electricity bill and produce some of her own energy.
